Welcome! You’ve likely come here from a link on my resume or my LinkedIn - I want to give you a more informal breakdown of my experience. With pictures!
Legally named Munkhtsogt Battsogt, I am a 23-year-old graduate of New York University, currently residing in my hometown of Orange, Connecticut.
I received a B.A. in Economics, although I spent most of my time outside of academics working on NYU Tisch student film sets and doing internships related to film and television. I even did a minor in producing for film in Tisch.
That all said, even during college, I was never really sure what I wanted to do when I grew up. I still don’t, but I’m okay with that. What I do know, however, is that I’m instead looking to work in a field more suited to my economics degree - somewhere within the vast field of finance.
I’m a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy, looking to become a master in one of them.

Oronoque Eye Care
Unsure about what I wanted to do after college, I worked at an optometry office near my hometown.
This job gave me my first experience serving the general public, where I had to learn how to deal with people waiting in line for service and constant phone calls coming in simultaneously. I quickly learned how to please even the most difficult of people - to the point where some of our trouble patients would talk only to me or their doctor.
At the same time, we had to keep two doctors’ worth of patients moving into exam rooms for their appointments on time, doing lots of tests and pictures on each patients’ eyes with very fancy equipment - (though the patient records program was incredibly old and slow, and I was often helping more experienced co-workers with their “tech problems.”)
I had actually done a little “internship” here for about a month during my senior year of high school when they were doing an '“do-an-internship-instead-of-class” program, so it was nice to come back to a familiar place. I’m very thankful to OEC for my time there.
<- I’m in the bottom left pic.
american movie company
I interned here twice - first during my junior year of college, and for a couple months after graduating.
American Movie Co. rents out studio spaces across NYC, as well as experienced crew and equipment. My main role was to write articles for their website’s blog to help drive in internet traffic through Google searches and their e-mail campaigns.
Here’s one article I wrote for them.
At LiveWellNYU, we made fun videos about food spots, exercising and mental well-being. Between a team of four of us students, we did all the writing, casting (asking people we know to be in the videos), shooting, and editing.
Here are a couple example videos:
We were unfortunately unable to upload any of our work officially, due to disagreement with the head of the LiveWellNYU program. We tried to resolve the issues she had with the videos, however, she would not tell us what the issues were. She eventually dissolved the video department entirely after all members quit.
AS A PRODUCER ON NYU STUDENT FILMS
During my junior and senior year at NYU, I was a producer on three Tisch senior thesis films - Cecilia, Graffiti, and Somewhere in Love.
As a producer, I had several roles in the pre-production and production. On Somewhere in Love, the most recent of, I helped with location scouting and with crowdfunding.
